* Fabric design three shades of roses in dusty, deep rose and bright pink
* Classic silhouette with a cinched waist and full skirt
* Sleeveless bodice with scooped V-shaped neckline
* Shelf bust with horizontal darts
* V-shaped insert under the bust that extends down to hem
* Full wide cone skirt with straight centre panel with pleats either side of that
* Fully lined bust and skirt, high-quality finishing with hip stays
* Low V-shaped back with metal zipper

Lord & Taylor was started as a dry goods store in 1826, and is one of the oldest department stores in America. Its founders were Samuel Lord and George Washington Taylor. The store grew, moving to increasingly larger stores on Broadway and by 1850 had begun manufacturing some of the merchandise offered in the store. They moved to Fifth Avenue in 1914.
In 1932, Lord & Taylor VP Dorothy Shaver became one of the first to promote the fashions of American designers by name. Before this time, many of the best US designers were anonymous, as many preferred the prestige brought by a French frock. As a result of Lord & Taylor ads, names like Elizabeth Hawes and Muriel King became well known. In 1986, Lord & Taylor was bought by the May department store chain. As a cost-cutting measure, May closed over thirty Lord & Taylor stores. At its height, there were 86 stores in the Lord & Taylor chain. (Courtesy of the Vintage Fashion Guild)

No flaws that I can see. Colour is vibrant and the fabric is free from blemish.

Incredibly beautiful dress with stunning design features. The finishing is superb as well and is obviously a high-end dress. Please note that the photos are a little more saturated than the dress - it was difficult to get the colour balance right for some reason. Cleaned and ready to wear. Postage
We make every effort to post your item within 1-3 days of payment. Should a circumstance arise where we are unable to post within this timeframe (eg we are away at a fair) we will contact you immediately. Please note that our postage charges are based on standard international and domestic air packages - all with tracking. If you want to upgrade to express postage or require insurance, please contact us prior to checkout and we will adjust the rates accordingly.
LayBys/Layaways
Yes we do offer flexible layby/layaway options and are open to negotiation as to the time period. Obviously, the more expensive the item the longer the time you will have to finalise payment. Contact us to see how accommodating we can be :)
Alterations
Obviously, as these are one- off pieces, the fit may not be quite what you need. To this end, we also offer an alteration service by professional seamstresses. Please shoot us an email outlining what you want and we will quickly respond with a quote and timeframe. Costs are kept to a minimum for this service.
