* Late 1950s crisp polished cotton commercially made dress
* Fabric design features duck egg blue trellis pattern over a white background
* Classic silhouette with a defined waist and wide skirt
* Sleeveless bodice with a wide scooped neckline
* Slightly dropped waistline
* Skirt is very full with small knife pleating
* White cotton trim around the neckline and through centre front of dress
• White bow tie immediately under the neckline
* Trim is accented with small self-fabric buttons down front
* White cotton built-in crinoline
* Label reads Carnegie Model - It's a Symphony
Carnegie of London was a British dress manufacturer that operated from the 1940s through to the 1980s. At the time of their closing (1984), they were situated in Osborn Street, Aldgate (Central London). Little is known of this manufacturer but, from my experience, the company produced high-quality clothing (this dress is similar in quality to a Horrockses).
Condition
Excellent vintage condition.
No notable flaws that I can see.

Currently, standard packages within Australia take 4 to 6 business days from receipt of the package at the Post Office. However, there may be exceptions due to the impact of COVID-19. Overseas packages take between 7 to 10 days.
We also offer expedited DHL shipping which provides a fast and reliable shipping option if you prefer quick receipt of your item.

Obviously, as these are one-off pieces, the fit may not be quite what you need. To this end, we also offer an alteration service by professional seamstresses. Please shoot us an email outlining what you want and we will quickly respond with a quote and timeframe. Costs are kept to a minimum for this service.
