* Lace design features a floral and scroll pattern in turquoise
* Classic silhouette with a fitted waist and full skirt
* Strapless bodice with a scalloped chemise neckline
* Bodice is covered in soutache worked braid
* Dropped waist that trails lower at the back
* Ultra-wide almost full skirt with scalloped hemline
* Low back with nylon zipper
* Fully lined in matching acetate taffeta with white tulle flounced built-in petticoat

Mike Benet Formals was a design house that earned national and international acclaim for its stunning beaded and sequined creations. Family-owned Mike Benet Formals designed and manufactured special-occasion gowns popular with contemporary fashionistas from prom-goers to pageant contestants. Earl and Earline Bigbie founded the company in 1957, operating initially from a small, downtown shop and then from a larger manufacturing facility in Pittsburg. The company traded into the early 2000s, but their latter lines did not match the quality of their earlier offerings. Today, these vintage gowns are highly-sought after and often discussed in online forums.

Alterations
Obviously, as these are one-off pieces, the fit may not be quite what you need. To this end, we also offer an alteration service by professional seamstresses. Please shoot us an email outlining what you want and we will quickly respond with a quote and timeframe. Costs are kept to a minimum for this service.
