Description
* Late 1930s to early 1940s summer suit
* Classic silhouette with a defined waist and flowing skirt
* Jacket is black crepe with asymmetrical closure, rounded neckline and short sleeves
* The neckline, cuffs and closure edge are edged in contrasting piping from skirt fabric
* A faux pocket handkerchief decorates the right front shoulder
* Large white plastic buttons down jacket side front
* Skirt fabric design features black flowers with stems on a duck egg blue background
* Skirt has a waistband with button closure down the side
* Unlined, combination of raw and selvage seams, and hand-sewn hem
* No label
Condition
Generally excellent vintage condition.
No notable flaws that I can see other than slight unravelling in the jacket side seam (about an inch in length) - easy fix.
