* Beautiful full skirt

Established in 1938, the Carlye Dress Corporation focused on designing fashion lines tailored exclusively for the younger woman. Its popularity saw the business grow to become one of the greatest junior wear industries within the US. A signature design element was the use of inserts and pin-tucking, a feature you often see in Carlye clothing. The business was taken over by the clothing manufacturing giant Leslie Fay in the mid 1960s and merged into their existing lines.

Although this dress is more than sixty years old, it has been carefully looked and is in excellent condition for its age. No significant flaws to note, the material is strong and vibrant and ready for another sixty years of wear!
