* Absolutely beautiful 1920s sapphire blue velvet two-piece dress

* Wonderful silhouette with dropped blouson waist and draped skirt

* Bodice with short sleeves, scooped neckline and self tie at hips

* Skirt attached to an ivory cotton camisole top with straps at neckline

* Both pieces lavishly decorated with Egyptian Revival bead work

* Hemline with wide beaded panel with eastern influence and highlighted with coral beads

Comment

Absolutely sumptuous 1920s dress in rarer larger size and very wearable. The fabric has a vibrant colour with no apparent fading and is very strong. Bead work is amazingly intricate with striking accents. Overall, the dress is in excellent condition...only minor issues to note are a couple of spots that are hard to notice unless inspecting closely. This has to be one of my most favourite 1920s dresses!
