* Incredible 1950s New Look designer suit in a bronze colour
* Fabric is cotton lace in a floral pattern
* Classic silhouette with cinched waist and full skirt
* Jacket with long sleeves and turnover cuffs
* Rounded collar with front button closure
* Buttons are glittery rhinestones
* Full cone stiffened skirt
* Lined in bronze silk taffeta both jacket and skirt
* Impeccable tailoring with high-end finishing
* Label reads Rafi, New York
Handelsman and Raiffe was one of the high-end coat and suit manufacturers in New York. I can find very little information about this company, but judging by the few ads I've located, they made gorgeous and expensive garments. Harry Raiffe was the designer, and the company's label was Rafi, New York. The advertisement featured in the photographs below is a glorious full skirted Rafi suit in Forstmann wool with a little lace collar. The skirt was lined in Pellon for added body. Condition
This wonderful suit is so close to the wedding suit worn by Grace Kelly at her civil wedding ceremony to Prince Rainer. It is in wonderful condition with no flaws to note. Cleaned and ready to wear. Please drop us a line if your require additional information about this listing.
