* Stunning late 1950s to early 1960s blue nylon party dress
* Classic silhouette with cinched waist and full skirt
* Sleeveless bodice with chemise neckline
* Bodice has shelf bust overlaid with gathers in tangerine chiffon
* Triple spaghetti straps in same tangerine colour
* Very full box pleated skirt
* Dress features hand painted floral design in a multitude of colours
* Dress is fully lined with stiffened gauze underskirt
* Additional blue tulle tiered petticoat under skirt
* Two toned stole half in tangerine and the other half in blue
* Back metal zipper
Condition
This absolutely gorgeous dress is in excellent condition for its age. No notable flaws that I can see. The only issue is that the gauze bottom underskirt has a hole but obviously unseen because of the three layers above it. The painting is a lovely freestyle. Cleaned and ready to wear. Obviously, as these are one- off pieces, the fit may not be quite what you need. To this end, we also offer an alteration service by professional seamstresses.
