Very little information is available on the history of this label. But from my own research, I have discovered that the label probably originated in the United States but was marketed in the United Kingdom. The clothing from this label is very eye-catching and beautifully detailed. To the extent where California Cottons matches the quality of Horrockses Fashions. While its history may be a little vague, its collectability is not. The label is highly prized today.
Condition
Excellent.
No notable flaws that I can see - looks hardly ever worn. one tiny dot at folds of the bodice. No bleeding, colour is vibrant. The blue hue is actually more vibrant than the photographs show and a fraction lighter - it's even better in real life!!

Obviously, as these are one- off pieces, the fit may not be quite what you need. To this end, we also offer an alteration service by professional seamstresses. Please shoot us an email outlining what you want and we will quickly respond with a quote and timeframe. Costs are kept to a minimum for this service.
