Aurora Borealis
Commonly known as AB, is an effect which was jointly developed by Swarovski and Christian Dior during the 1950s. It is a shimmering opal-like (sometimes described as rainbow) finish that is said to enhance the beauty and sparkle of cut crystal.

Comment

The necklace sits extremely well and has no flaws or missing stones that I can detect. Czech Republic (previously Czechoslovakia) is the home of quality costume jewellery, having produced magnificent pieces since the Victorian era.
